Age is purely a Number!

Here at the little supplement company we truly believe that age is only a number. A great example of this is four crazy people in their 60's who are about to do an Everest exhibition.
Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake Trek
Four veteran local athletes are venturing into the Himalayas this Spring for a trip of a lifetime - a 17 day trek to achieve a close-up view of the world's highest mountain.
Their adventure starts with a flight into Lukla considered to be one of the most hazardous routine flights in the world due to a mountainside rising up immediately at the end of the landing strip!
From Lukla the trek climbs up the Dudh Khosi valley to Namche Bazaar, passes the Thyangboche Monastery before climbing above the tree time and up one of the three high points of the trek, the 5545 metre high Kala Patthar. This gives views into the Western Cwm to Everest and the surrounding peaks. Returning to the valley the trek then rises over glacial moraines to Everest Base Camp located immediately below the Khumbu Ice Fall.
The next part of the trek takes a circular walk westwards across the Cho La pass, an six hour climb above the snow line up to 5420 metres with a steep ice descent to the Gokyo Valley. For a final view of Everest there will be an early pre-dawn start to climb Gokyo Ri (5484metres) before the trek begins a four day descent back to Lukla and a flight back to Kathmandu.
Mark Hamilton of the Little Supplement Company has been advising the trekkers on suitable multi-vitamin and probiotic supplements to their diet to help reduce the effects of the high altitude and unfamiliar food in Nepal and to give some protection from the Kathmandu Quickstep and Khumbu Cough (stomach problems and high altitude throat infections).
